Hatols Fostering Service (HFS) takes your privacy seriously. We accept that you do not want your personal information provided to us made available anyhow. Our policy is in line with DPA and GDPR, we have a data controller. The information we collect
On this website, we collect your personal data only if you directly provide it to us. Your data will only be used in relation to your enquiry about becoming a foster Carer. We may also collect your IP address and use cookies unless your browser is configured not to accept them.
The information we collect via the Website may include the following
Your personal details provided to us through forms, and your email, such as name, address, telephone number etc.
Your IP Address. This is a string of numbers unique to your computer that is recorded by our web server when you request any page or component on the Website. This information is used to monitor your usage of the Website.
Our website is information based. We may ask you to register your name, email address and other personal information to enable us communicate with you in relation to becoming a foster Carer. The information recorded which allows us to recognise you and your preferred settings, saves you from re-entering information on return visits to the site. Such data is recorded locally on your computer through the use of cookies.
If your application proceeds to stages 1 & 2, we will gather more information on you throughout the Assessment process. The information you provide to us is held in accordance with DPA and GDPR.
Use of your information
The information provided to us is used by us to communicate with you only in connection with your application to become a foster Carer. This will be used to assess your suitability to become a foster Carer, and ensure that safeguarding checks are completed with relevant authorities. During the second stage, comprehensive information about you, members of your household, is gathered to assess your suitability. Your personal information will be stored whist you application is live. It may be held for longer if your application is on hold. Non identifying information will be provided to some bodies such as ofsted.
Protecting your information
HFS reognises the importance of the security of all personal identifiable information, in view of the internet not being a secure medium. We store your information on our server/database where care is taken to ensure the security of your data. We keep your information confidential. The internal procedures of HFS covers the storage, access and disclosure of your information. Your information will only be disclosed as required by law.

We use cookies for operational purposes on our website. Personal information provided to us from your use of the website is not held by us, unless a call back is requested, or if you complete our online enquiry form. Accessing and updating your personal information
Should you request it, we will always let you have a copy of any personal information we hold about you.
